The Economic Hall of Shame

As promised, here is a list of congressional members whose knowledge of economics could only fill a thimble. These lawmakers are currently endorsing price controls on gasoline and/or demanding investigations of oil companies that are allegedly "price-gouging" consumers. This is political pandering at its worst. Politicians are saying that price-gouging is "immoral" and that it amounts to a "shakedown" at the pump. We should be so proud that they are representing us in Washington! This list is a work-in-progress, unfortunately. Plenty more will be added.
