The Online Freedom of Speech Act

The House debated the Online Freedom of Speech Act earlier today (offered by Congressman Jeb Hensarling) which the blogosphere has been furiously writing about lately. A vote is expected around 7:30pm and 8:00pm tonight. Stay tuned... UPDATE (5:55pm): I'm getting word that this bill should receive the required 2/3 votes to pass, but that some Democrats may force a defeat, especially since Pelosi is against it. The Angry Left, a strange ally in this fight, needs to get its whipping machine in order and help us out. UPDATE (8:58pm): The 1st Amendment lost tonight, 225-182. If my numbers are correct, we needed 269 272 "YES" votes, not 225, in order to win with 2/3 vote. Thirty-eight Republicans voted NO, so even if they supported the Bill of Rights, we'd still be 6 9 votes short. With spending out of control, this vote shows that not only do politicians take our money, they take our freedom to speak against them as well. That should scare the pants off of anyone.
