The Club's Blog Win 'Best Business Blog' Award

I'd like to offer my thanks to all of you who voted to make the Club's blog the Best Business Blog of 2005. I'd also like to thank Wizbang for putting the awards together for the third straight year. The Club's blog managed to land in first place among a crowded field of 14 other blogs, beating out other well-known websites including Freakonomics, the blog of best-selling author and economist, Steve Levitt, and Asymmetrical Information, written by Megan McArdle, a popular journalist for the international magazine, The Economist. If you want to learn more about the Weblog Awards, read this thoughtful post by Kevin at Wizbang who organized the whole thing. Finally, with the year coming to a close, I'd like to give you a preview of things to come in 2006. With the mid-term elections fast approaching and the primary elections coming even sooner, I'm going to try as hard as I can to fill the blog up with great content each and every day. You're also going to see a more visually appealing layout soon enough. It will also include some technical changes that will allow me to write about things that the FEC normally prohibits. It's hard to explain now, but trust me, the Club's blog will be an exciting place to be in 2006. I juggle several duties at the Club, but my favorite is blogging. It is a labor of love. In fact, I'm taking a long Christmas break starting this Tuesday, December 20th. I'll be going back home to Kansas until January 3rd, but I plan on blogging throughout the entire time. And with Congress finally wrapping up business for the year, I'll try to provide some more light-hearted, less-serious content during the Holiday season. That said, thanks again to all of you who voted for the Club's blog. It's a great award and a very nice honor.
