The Club for Growth has launched a new television ad that started running throughout Rhode Island today. The ad highlights Mayor Steve Laffey's success at running the city of Cranston, saving it from bankruptcy. The TV spot also underlines Laffey's desire to cut wasteful spending on the federal level, and urges viewers to tell Laffey to keep fighting for taxpayers. The ad will run for the next 10 days on broadcast television. Here's the ad script (PDF).
The Club is also running this radio ad (MP3 file), which started yesterday, describing Sen. Lincoln Chafee's many votes for higher taxes. The ad urges Rhode Islanders to tell Sen. Chafee that Rhode Island can't afford high taxes.
