A Nevada TV station recently hosted a debate between the candidates running for the GOP nominee in Nevada's 2nd district.

Here are some highlights:
- Sharron Angle, endorsed by the Club for Growth PAC, has clearly established herself as the fiscal conservative in the race. During the debate, she mentions her endorsement by the House Conservative Fund, which is the Republican Study Committee's political arm. The RSC represents the 100+ most conservative lawmakers in the U.S. House.
- One of Sharron's liberal opponents, Dean "Maybe" Heller, said, "I don't...I probably disagree with [Harry Reid] 50%, maybe higher, of the times...he's done some good things for Nevada." In countering the RSC's support of Angle, Heller was intent on making the point that he wants to work with "both sides of the aisle".
- Sharron's other liberal opponent, Dawn Gibbons, said, "Senator Reid actually works very, very hard." She also bragged about Congressman Don Young's endorsement of her. Young, as you may recall, is the notorious pork-barrel spender who helped secure funding for the "Bridge to Nowhere" in Alaska.
The primary for this seat is August 15.
