The Pork Scorecard, It's What's for Dinner

This is a long, overdue blog post about the Pork Scorecard, which has received some tremendous support from the blogosphere over the last several days. If you're a blogger and you'd like to contribute, write about one of the politicians and then send me the permalink. I'll promptly post it on the scorecard (email address is aroth at clubforgrowth dot org).

First, the summary of the scorecard -- 94 blogs have written about 199 politicians.

Second, the nitty gritty -- The party breakdown of the 199 politicians are 128 Republican and 71 Democrats.

Here are the states that have been completely represented (nice work!):

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Delaware
  • Georgia
  • Iowa
  • Idaho
  • Indiana
  • Kentucky
  • Missouri
  • Nebraska
  • Nevada
  • Oklahoma
  • Pennsylvania
  • Tennessee
  • Utah
  • Virginia
  • Washington

The states that need just one more politician to be completed:

  • Colorado (Marilyn Musgrave)
  • Louisiana (Richard Baker)
  • New Hampshire (Charlie Bass)
  • Ohio (Sherrod Brown)

The states that are currently represented, but need more than one politician to be completed (California and Texas are huge opportunities):

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Florida
  • Illinois
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • North Carolina
  • Oregon
  • South Carolina
  • Texas

The states that aren't represented at all (be the first blogger to cover these states!):

  • Alaska (Don Young is just itching to be attacked)
  • Connecticut
  • Hawaii
  • Kansas
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Montana
  • North Dakota
  • Rhode Island
  • South Dakota
  • Vermont
  • West Virginia
  • Wisconsin
  • Wyoming
