100 Useless Factoids from 2006

BBC News has the list. Here are some of my favorites with comments in parentheses:

* Online shoppers will only wait an average of four seconds for an internet page to load before giving up. (I heard it was 8 seconds. Have we grown more impatient?)

* In a fight between a polar bear and a lion, the polar bear would win. (Who would win if the polar bear had to fight Mike Ditka? My guess - Dikta.)

* Watching television can act as a natural painkiller for children, say researchers from the University of Siena.
