The Consumer is King (or Queen)
The beauty of this video isn't just its cuteness. It's that the consumer reigns supreme. Because of the free market, she can always seek alternatives if a product or service is unsatisfactory. Companies need to continually innovate and respond to consumer demand or they'll wither on the vine and die. The "boyfriend" in this video may seem oblivious to his date's concerns, but after she leaves the restaurant, he's certain to have cold showers and lonely nights until he realizes his mistake.
It was smart to cast the consumer as a woman and the advertiser as a man, because in real life, the woman (consumer) is always right.
