Club for Growth PAC Endorses Tim Walberg in MI-07
Washington – Today, the Club for Growth PAC endorsed Republican Congressman Tim Walberg in Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District against Democratic State Senate Minority Leader Mark Schauer.
In his first year in Congress, Rep. Walberg has worked tirelessly on behalf of taxpayers, voting against every Democratic attempt to raise taxes, including the largest tax increase in U.S. history contained in the 2008 Democratic budget proposal. Rep. Walberg also voted to reduce government spending, voting to defund outrageous pork projects and to eliminate corporate welfare so taxpayers can keep more of their hard-earned money.
While Walberg has faithfully defended taxpayers in Congress, it is clear from Mark Schauer’s legislative record that he will fight against taxpayers. As a state senator, Schauer has supported a number of tax increases, including Governor Jennifer Granholm’s recent tax hike plan. There is no question that, if elected to Congress, Mark Schauer will be firmly ensconced in the Nancy Pelosi wing of the Democratic Party.
