Chiming In on the Sanford Debate

NRO's David Freddoso says Sanford is unlikely to be picked by McCain partly because Sanford withheld his endorsement during the presidential primary. Quin Hillyer at American Spectator is bothered by this and says, if true, it would reflect badly on McCain's judgment. Personally, it's a bunch of bull. Sanford might not get picked, but it won't be because he didn't endorse McCain during the campaign. Vice-presidents are not picked based on favors, paybacks, or grudges. They are picked based on what makes political sense.
