Club for Growth PAC-Endorsed Candidate Steve Scalise Wins in Louisiana
Washington – Tonight, Club for Growth PAC-endorsed candidate Steve Scalise won his special general election in Louisiana’s First Congressional District with over 70 percent of the vote.
State Senator Steve Scalise is a true economic conservatives. Over more than a decade in the State Legislature, Scalise helped lead the fight against tax increases and wasteful spending, even when they came from his own party.
“Tonight, taxpayers in Louisiana can be happy to know they are sending a conservative stalwart to Congress,” said Club for Growth President Pat Toomey. “We are confident Steve Scalise will work tirelessly to fight for lower taxes, an end to wasteful spending, and limited government. Taxpayers could certainly use a conservative like Steve Scalise down in Washington.”
