I'm Recommending a Liberal Blog!

Hold on, it's not as crazy as it seems. While the ideas perpetuated over at Talking Points Memo are economically weak and disastrous, I recommend that you check out their great coverage on Social Security reform. For any and all Democrats who are seen as wobbly on defending the party line, the blog labels them a member of their self-created "Fainthearted Faction". They even describe each member as being either "Loud and Proud" in their support for personal accounts or "One Foot Out" for their possible retreat from pro-growth reform. Moderate, but still liberal, senators like Ben Nelson and Mary Landrieu are in the "Faction" because they won't unequivocably come out against personal accounts. And what about those weak-kneed Republicans who cross the aisle to oppose personal accounts? They are members of the "Conscience Caucus". Can you take a wild guess at which GOP senator is in this group? That's right. Arlen Specter.
