State Representative Ralph Norman is in a runoff primary for the South Carolina House seat (SC-05) vacated by Mick Mulvaney’s appointment to the Trump Administration. Norman is very strong on pro-growth issues, but he faces a challenge from establishment Republican Tommy Pope, the Speaker Pro Tempore of the South Carolina House. Norman finished just ahead of Pope in the Republican primary and the runoff election will be held on May 16, 2017.
