Washington, DC – Club for Growth Action is launching a new thirty second TV advertisement and a sixty second radio advertisement criticizing Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning on his spending record. The seat became vacant following the retirement of Democratic Senator Ben Nelson. The ads start today and will run statewide on broadcast and cable.
“Jon Bruning praised the Obama stimulus program and doubled his own office budget,” said Club for Growth President Chris Chocola. “With our national debt at $15 trillion and growing larger every day, Nebraska doesn’t need to send another big spender to Washington. Nebraskans need a principled leader and a true fiscal conservative like Don Stenberg.”

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW JON BRUNING’S RECORD?
ON SPENDING, BRUNING PRAISED THE OBAMA STIMULUS PROGRAM.
HE NEARLY DOUBLED HIS OWN OFFICE BUDGET, INCREASING SPENDING AT A FASTER RATE THAN CONGRESS.
BRUNING EVEN CALLED ON THE LEGISLATURE TO RAISE CAR FEES SO HE COULD SPEND MORE.
THAT’S THE JON BRUNING SPENDING RECORD -- THE ONE HE DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT.
