Club for Growth PAC Endorses Mary Thomas (FL-02)

Washington, DC – The Club for Growth PAC today announced its endorsement of attorney Mary Thomas for the U.S. House from Florida’s 2nd Congressional District. The seat is currently held by Democrat Gwen Graham.
“Mary Thomas is a rock-solid economic conservative, and her election would be a terrific upgrade for Florida’s panhandle,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “Mary has never run for office, but has had the privilege of working in the highly-successful administration of Governor Rick Scott, who has been a leader in cutting taxes, regulations, and spending. Redistricting has opened an opportunity for Republicans in this race and it’s crucial that FL-02 has a genuine economic conservative in Congress.”
This endorsement marks the Club for Growth PAC’s fifth House endorsement in the 2016 cycle. The Club’s PAC has already endorsed:
- Jim Banks for the open IN-03 seat
- Jim Duncan, who is challenging Renee Ellmers in NC-02
- Kyle McCarter, who is challenging John Shimkus in IL-15
- Warren Davidson for the open OH-08 seat that was previously held by Speaker Boehner
