Club for Growth President David McIntosh Reaction To Obama State Of The Union Address

Club for Growth President David McIntosh: “Obama’s tax plan is like Lindsay Lohan’s acting career. Lots of unemployment and not much income.”

Washington, DC – The Club for Growth issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s State Of The Union remarks:

“President Obama’s policy proposals are more of the same: tax hikes and class warfare.” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “Instead of adding more loopholes and deductions, we should pass pro-growth tax reform instead. Instead of raising taxes on capital gains, we should eliminate them. Instead of increasing spending, we should reform our insolvent entitlement programs. Instead of more government programs, we should put a halt to an anti-growth regulatory regime that is stifling job creation and crushing productivity. President Obama’s proposals haven’t worked over the last six years, and you’d think the most recent elections would have taught him something. Americans are looking for a policy agenda that gives them more freedom and opportunity, not more government and bureaucracy.”
