GENERAL ELECTION: November 7, 2006

Rick O'Donnell is running in Colorado's 7th district. The seat's current representative is Bob Beauprez, who is running for governor.

This district is arguably the most important "toss up" race in the country for both political parties. In fact, the district lines were drawn so that it approximately represented 1/3 Republicans, 1/3 Democrats, and 1/3 Independents.

O'Donnell has secured the GOP nomination without a primary, while the Democrats chose Earl Perlmutter in their primary on August 8, 2006.

O'Donnell is great on our issues. He's a strong fiscal conservative who supports making the Bush tax cuts permanent, strong budget reforms, and personal accounts for Social Security. He is also a big supporter of free trade.
