Conservative Review: Davidson Receives Support From Conservative Groups
CONSERVATIVE PACS ENDORSE WARREN DAVIDSON TO REPLACE BOEHNER
Two major conservative political advocacy groups have endorsed businessman and veteran Warren Davidson in the race to fill former Speaker of the House John Boehner’s vacant congressional seat.
Club for Growth Action, the political arm of the conservative advocacy group Club for Growth, has released the following ad for Davidson:
“Ohio’s 8th Congressional District doesn’t need another career politician,” said Club for Growth president David McIntosh in an emailed press release:
The businessman has also won the endorsement of the Senate Conservatives Fund. “Warren Davidson is a strong conservative who will fight for our values and protect the Constitution,” said SCF President Ken Cuccinelli in their emailed press release.
Davidson is one of 15 announced Republican candidates for congress in the 8th congressional district. According to FEC documents, Davidson ended 2015 with $137,823 cash on hand. The establishment candidate, Ohio state senator Bill Beagle, currently holds $203,427 cash on hand. Representative Jim Jordan R-OH, (Liberty Score® – A), chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, said of Davidson: “This is the kind of guy we need in Washington. He’s going to come in there and stand firm. To me, that’s the most important thing.”
Warren Davidson was born and raised in Ohio. He enlisted in the Army after High School and Graduated from West Point at the top of his class. He enlisted and served as an Army officer with the Old Guard, the 75th Ranger Regiment, and the 101st Airborne Division.
Davidson returned to Ohio in 2000 to work for his family’s manufacturing business, now employs over 200 people.
He has been happily married to his wife, Lisa, for 20 years, and they are proud parents of two teenage children.
The special election primary will be held on March 15th, 2016.
