Biography

Bishop has been a steady conservative leader in the House of Representatives and is a Board member of the House Freedom Caucus. Bishop has repeatedly refused to go along with the massive levels of federal spending that has unleashed the highest inflation in 40 years. He has opposed federal bailouts of the post office and Puerto Rico, and has been a strong ally of Right to Work. He’s also opposed bloated infrastructure bills, and opposes federal earmarks in appropriations. Bishop is also a congressional cosponsor of legislation to provide term limits on federal lawmakers.

Bishop was a key negotiator in the House conservatives’ fight for transformational reforms in the Speakers battle. He is highly intelligent, principled, and fearless.

In the 2019 Special Election, Club for Growth PAC endorsed Bishop and invested a total of $1,377,354 through CFG PAC and CFG Action.
