Stutzman is a fourth-generation farmer who grew up in the small town of Howe, Indiana. He attended Lake Area Christian School and went to Trine University. Marlin was elected to the Indiana State House at 25 years old, making him the youngest serving state legislator, but he still worked full-time in the family business. After serving in the state legislature for eight years, Stutzman ran for the US House of Representatives in 2010. Club for Growth PAC endorsed him in that race. Stutzman (CFGF lifetime rating: 93%) went on to serve in the US House from 2011 to 2017. During that time, he built a strong economic conservative record, and he was especially solid on budget, spending, and tax policy. Stutzman and his family maintain their family farm in his home town, where they raise Wagyu Beef for their farm to fork restaurant.
