Biography

Neil Parrott, graduated with a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Mount St. Mary’s University. As a seasoned State Delegate with three terms under his belt, Neil has consistently fought for the values that matter to Maryland families—limited government, fiscal responsibility, and strong communities. His experience as a small business owner and former traffic engineer equips him with the practical know-how to tackle the real challenges. If elected, Neil Parrott will be the principled, conservative leader MD-06 needs in Congress.

Open Seat/Republican pick-up opportunity: Parrot won the Republican primary with a strong 45.9% of the vote on May 14, 2024. He will now challenge Democratic candidate April McClain-Delaney in the general election. This seat was previously held by David Trone who left his seat in a failed attempt to win the Democrat nomination for the U.S. Senate race in Maryland. While the Cook political rating shows a D+2 advantage for the Democrats and a “likely Democrat” outcome, this race holds potential for maintaining and strengthening a Republican majority with a solid fiscal conservative champion.
