In a memo to Club for Growth Action, WPA Intelligence delved deeper into the GOP Primary Voter segments of past polling done in the Tennessee senate race and found the following:

Corker’s Deficit is Driven by Trump Supporters

In all of these polls, Corker trails Blackburn by a significantly larger margin among pro-Trump voters than he does among primary voters overall. For example, in one of the polls released last week (WPAi poll for the Committee to Defend the President, conducted 2/13-15) Corker’s deficit is 19 points higher among primary voters who consider themselves “Trump Republicans” than among primary voters overall. This group makes up more than two-in-five (42%) primary voters in Tennessee.
