“YES” ON JOHNSON-LEE-TOOMEY-SASSE-R.SCOTT-CRUZ-BLACKBURN AMENDMENT TO PELOSI-MNUCHIN STIMULUS, HR 6201

  |

Club for Growth supports the amendment offered by Senator Ron Johnson to the Pelosi-Mnuchin Coronavirus Stimulus bill, H.R 6201. The amendment is expected to be considered soon in the United States Senate. The result of the vote will be included in the Club for Growth Foundation’s 2020 Congressional Scorecard.

This legislation would remove the paid leave mandate which will crush small businesses. Instead the amendment allows for temporary enhancements to States’ unemployment insurance programs so that Americans who cannot work due to the coronavirus are protected with expanded unemployment benefits.

Club for Growth Foundation’s Congressional Scorecard for the 116th Congress provides a comprehensive rating of how well or how poorly each member of Congress supports pro-growth, free-market policies and will be distributed to the public.
