Key Vote Alert – YES on S.J.Res.11 – EPA Emissions Rule

The Club for Growth urges all Representatives to vote YES on S.J.Res.11, a resolution of disapproval on the Biden emissions rule. This bill provides for Congressional disapproval under chapter 8, title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to ‘‘Control of Air Pollution From New Motor Vehicles: Heavy-Duty Engine and Vehicle Standards.” The results of this vote will be included in the Club for Growth Foundation’s 2023 congressional scorecard.

The Club for Growth supports the resolution of disapproval to nullify the EPA’s emissions rule, which would modify emissions standards in order to serve the special interests of the radical left environmentalists. The rule would badly damage the U.S. economy by restricting heavy-duty engines and vehicles operating in America. The Biden Administration doesn’t even pretend to say “if you like your truck, you can keep your truck.” Instead, the aim is to end trucking as we know it.

The American economy is built around free markets which determine the best goods and services through competition. However, this rule would trample that principle in favor of attacking a proven service – trucking – which is the engine of economic activity in America. Club for Growth strongly encourages all Representatives to vote YES on the resolution of disapproval.
