Biography

Derek Merrin received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and later earned a Master of Public Administration from Bowling Green State University.

Merrin took on the initiative to expand educational freedom, reduce the state income tax, and cut regulations. Additionally, he successfully repealed a $45 million tax on prescription eyewear.

If elected to U.S. Congress, Merrin will be a limited government constitutional conservative who opposes tax increases and supports term limits. He opposes government bans on social media and is a huge believer in innovative financial tools like cryptocurrency. Merrin opposes earmarks in appropriations and will vote against Omnibus appropriations bills.
