KEY VOTE ALERT – “NO” on the Continuing Resolution, Debt Limit Suspension, and supplemental appropriations package, H.R.5304
The Club for Growth opposes the Continuing Resolution, Debt Limit Suspension, and supplemental appropriations package, H.R.5304, and urges all Senators and Representatives to vote NO on it.
This legislation is déjà vu for the American People because Congress repeats the same mistakes over and over again and expects different results. It does nothing to tackle the fiscal problems facing America. The bill punts the opportunity for fiscal reforms on the national debt to December 2022 through the suspension of the debt limit. It sets up future “crisis-legislating” opportunities for big government politicians by providing “must-pass” deadlines during the Christmas season in 2021 on the CR and 2022 on the debt limit suspension.
Congress needs to balance the federal budget through spending cuts and pro-growth policies that decrease taxes and onerous regulation. Politicians are addicted to confiscating Americans’ wealth in favor of obtrusive government. This needs to stop so that economic freedom ushers in a new generation of prosperity and opportunity.
Club for Growth Foundation’s Congressional Scorecard for the 117th Congress provides a comprehensive rating of how well or how poorly each member of Congress supports pro-growth, free-market policies and will be distributed to the public.
