Parental School Choice Gains New Momentum
The pandemic has driven parental choice in education to the forefront of Americans’ minds as school closures force many parents to seek alternative education options for their children.
The momentum has led to efforts to expand school choice across the nation, including in Arizona where lawmakers advanced a bill that would expand school choice vouchers. Club for Growth Foundation fellow Steve Smith helped lead the effort.
And in honor of #SchoolChoiceWeek last month, Representatives endorsed by the Club for Growth PAC including Ted Budd, Jim Banks, and Chip Roy, introduced six school choice bills in the House.
Despite the increased momentum and exclusive Club for Growth PAC polling that shows most Americans support school choice, President Joe Biden still sides with teachers’ unions over students.
Club for Growth will continue to be active in pushing for more school choice despite the Biden Administration’s hostility to providing more educational opportunities for parents and students.
