Mike Donnelly

Michael Donnelly is Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Club for Growth. Mike has been a champion for liberty for decades. He is a U.S. Army cavalry veteran with Persian Gulf combat service, private-sector start-up experience, and over two decades in the liberty movement. Mike has served in senior leadership roles at Yes. Every Kid. Foundation and the Home School Legal Defense Association, advocating for limited government. As a lawyer he has led strategic litigation nationally and internationally at the highest levels, including the U.S. Supreme Court, the European Court of Human Rights, and the United Nations. As a thought leader he has published numerous journal articles and book chapters. As an entrepreneur he scaled an internet start-up 10x in 4 years.  He teaches International Law at Regent University and previously taught Constitutional Law at Patrick Henry College. Mike was a Liacos Scholar at Boston University School of Law, where he received his J.D., and earned an LL.M. with merit from the London School of Economics. Mike values faith, family, and freedom; he has been married to Patricia for over 30 years, is the father of seven, and grandfather of three (so far).
