Tom Barrett

Biography

Tom Barrett learned the values of hard work and family from his parents. After high school, Tom joined the U.S. Army, serving for 22 years in Iraq, Guantanamo Bay, Kuwait, and the Korean DMZ, amassing over 1,000 flight hours in advanced helicopters. When Tom returned to Michigan, he was shocked by the high veteran unemployment rate and became a leading voice for veterans in the legislature. He advocated for tax cuts and opposed taxpayer-funded corporate welfare. Tom is a fiscal hawk who will be a conservative champion if elected to Congress. Tom lives in Charlotte with his wife and four children.
