CFG Action Montana Launches Ad Exposing Tester’s Ties to Washington Lobbyists

  |

Today, CFG Action Montana unveiled the latest in its series of ads to expose liberal Jon Tester and his close allegiance with Washington DC lobbyists.  The ad will run on broadcast, cable, and satellite TV in Montana.

Entitled, “Swamp,” the ad explains that Jon Tester has taken more contributions from lobbyists than almost every other Senator.  This is in direct contravention to the promise Tester made to Montanans when he was running for office.

“Liberal Jon Tester will never drain the swamp because he has become part of the Washington, DC swamp.  The only thing he’s done for Montana is to put his interests and those of lobbyists ahead of the hardworking people of Montana.  Time and time again, Tester has shown he is more interested in cutting back-room deals with Washington’s lobbyists than he is in fighting for Montana,” stated CFG Action Montana President David McIntosh.

Previous CFG Action Montana ads have highlighted Tester’s broken promises on debt reduction, accepting special-interest perks and lobbyist contributions, missing committee hearings, Obamacare, and highlights from a Trump campaign rally.

“Swamp” Script

In Montana, people know the difference between what politicians say and do.

Jon Tester said. . .

Tester: “I won’t sell Montana down the road by cutting deals with K Street lobbyists”

We’ll let somebody else tell you what Tester did. . .

Trump: “He’s taken more cash from lobbyists than almost anyone in the entire Senate.

Jon Tester will never drain the swamp because he happens to live in the swamp—and he loves the swamp.”
