CFG Action Montana Unveils Ad Exposing Tester’s Big Spending Ways

  |

Today, CFG Action Montana released a new ad that exposes Jon Tester’s irresponsible spending habits.  The ad will run on broadcast, cable, and satellite TV in Montana.

Entitled, “Take His Keys,” the ad explains that despite Jon Tester’s promise to be “fiscally responsible,” he has voted to increase the budget deficit and defends wasteful spending on earmarks.

“Jon Tester wants Montanans to think he is a good steward of taxpayer dollars.  He’s not telling the whole truth; his votes in Washington tell a very different story.  In addition to supporting billions of dollars on wasteful earmarks, Tester has routinely voted to increase the deficit.  His voting record demonstrates Jon Tester has gone Washington, which is far from the commonsense values of Montana’s voters,” stated CFG Action Montana President David McIntosh.

Previous CFG Action Montana ads have highlighted Tester’s broken promises on debt reduction, accepting special-interest perks and lobbyist contributions, missing committee hearings, Obamacare, and highlights from a Trump campaign rally.

“Take His Keys” Script

In Montana, people know when somebody else should drive.

Tester: “I’m not about to put my kids’ future and opportunity on the line so I can spend money like a drunken sailor. I am going to be fiscally responsible.”

But then Jon Tester voted to increase the budget deficit $830 billion and defended billions in wasteful earmark spending.

Jon Tester.  He’s gone Washington.
