CfG President McIntosh Statement of TX School Freedom Developments

Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth President David McIntosh issued the following statement after the Texas State House passed SB 2, the Senate’s school freedom legislation:

“Club for Growth is encouraged to see the Texas State House pass historic school freedom legislation (SB 2) and make progress on empowering parents in their children’s education,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “We are proud to continue our efforts with Governor Abbott and President Trump to ensure every Texan has universal school freedom.”

Club for Growth has invested over $1 million to support Governor Abbott’s push for universal school freedom this legislative session. These efforts included TV, print, digital, and radio ads, polling showing broad support for school freedom, and grassroots efforts to mobilize voters across the state to contact their representatives.
