CfG President McIntosh Statement on ID Senate School Freedom Vote
Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth President issued the following statement after the Idaho State Senate passed HB 93, the state’s universal school freedom bill:
“School freedom is the defining civil rights issue of this generation. We thank President Trump and all Members of the Idaho Legislature who ensured Idaho families have a say in their children’s education,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “For too long, education bureaucrats have lined their pockets while trapping students in failing public schools. We look forward to Governor Brad Little signing this crucial legislation into law and providing every student in the Gem State with the quality education they deserve.”
Club for Growth previously launched a 6-figure advocacy campaign supporting school freedom in Idaho. The campaign included a television ad that ran in the Boise, Idaho Falls, and Twin Falls markets and a digital and phone advocacy campaign urging supporters of school freedom to contact members of the Idaho legislature. Club for Growth also released a new poll showing a majority of Idaho voters support the Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit bill, and support for the bill is strong among both Republicans and Independent voters.
