CfG President McIntosh Statement on MO Redistricting Victory

Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth President David McIntosh issued the following statement after Missouri enacted its new congressional map, creating the opportunity for Republicans to pick up a new seat:

“Democrats have weaponized gerrymandering for decades to silence conservatives across the country and limit their representation in Congress. Now Republicans are on offense, and the Left is panicking,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “Club for Growth is proud to have played a part in Missouri’s efforts to combat Democrat gerrymandering to give Republicans a fair chance in the midterms, and we look forward to working with leaders in other states to pass new maps.”

Leading up to the vote, Club for Growth ran an ad and conducted a phone campaign urging constituents to contact their elected officials to support redistricting in Missouri, which joins Texas as the second state to successfully pass new maps following our involvement. Club for Growth is actively engaged in Indiana, Kansas, and North Carolina with similar campaigns backing redistricting efforts.
