CfG President McIntosh Statement on ND School Freedom Vote
Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth President David McIntosh issued the following statement Monday after the North Dakota House passed HB 1540, landmark school freedom legislation that establishes the state’s first Education Savings Account program.
“Today marks the beginning of a new era of education for students and families in North Dakota. We applaud the work of legislators who defied entrenched special interests to pass HB 1540, a critical first step towards education freedom,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “Club for Growth encourages Governor Armstrong to give HB 1540 his signature, and we look forward to working to expand on this legislation to include more North Dakota families in the future.”
In the weeks leading up to passage, Club for Growth ran statewide TV and radio ads pushing lawmakers to support legislation establishing an Education Savings Account program in North Dakota, which were accompanied by phone and digital advocacy campaigns.
