Club for Growth Action Polling Reveals Ross Spano Holds Commanding Lead in FL-15 Congressional Race

Today, Club for Growth Action released a poll that shows Republican Ross Spano with a 46 percent to 39 percent lead over Democrat Kristen Carlson among likely voters in Florida’s 15^th Congressional District.  Spano also holds significant advantages in both total name ID and favorability over the Democrat challenger.

Specifically, the polling revealed:

• Name ID and Image:
  • Republican Ross Spano has 56% name ID and 28% of likely voters have favorable impressions of him.
  • Democrat Kristen Carlson has just 25% name ID and 11% of voters view her favorably.
• Ballot:
  • Spano has another natural advantage in the partisan tilt of the district.  A generic Republican would lead a generic Democrat by four points here.

• • Spano’s advantages in name ID and favorable image allow him to outperform that partisan baseline and he leads Carlson by seven points.

The survey was conducted for Club for Growth Action by WPA Intelligence.  WPAi conducted 418 live telephone interviews (46% cell phone) on October 3-4, 2018, and the margin of error is ±4.9%.
