Club for Growth Action Unveils New Ad in Texas Senate Race

  |

Today, Club for Growth Action unveiled its latest ad as part of its television campaign highlighting Congressman Beto O’Rourke’s history of shady dealings and scandal-filled past.  The ad will run on broadcast in the Houston, Texas media market.  Entitled, “Not Cool,” the ad exposes Beto O’Rourke’s past dealings that sought to use his government power and connections to augment his father-in-law’s business.

Upon release of the ad, Club for Growth President David McIntosh noted, “Beto O’Rourke wants Texans to think he’s a man of the people.  The truth is he has a long history of putting his own interests and those of his family ahead of some of the most vulnerable in his community.

“Beto O’Rourke’s shameless self-dealing reveals the lengths to which he is willing to go to get ahead.  His actions reveal that he can’t be trusted to do what’s right for Texas – only what’s best for his family’s and friends’ coffers.”

This ad is part of an ongoing seven-figure campaign by Club for Growth Action.  You can watch the ad here.  You will also find a transcript of the ad below.

The lawyers call it eminent domain.

Fancy words for your private property getting grabbed by the government and given to somebody else to cash in on.

Congressman Beto O’Rourke knows all about eminent domain.

When he was first elected, O’Rourke tried to use it to bulldoze a neighborhood and transfer the land to his billionaire father-in-law to build big box stores.

See, Beto has a friends and family plan, but you’re not in it.
