Club for Growth Applauds Judge Kavanaugh’s Confirmation to the Supreme Court

Today, Club for Growth President David McIntosh issued the following statement after the Senate voted to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to be an associate justice on the U.S. Supreme Court:

“With the Senate’s confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh, a strong legal conservative voice joins the Supreme Court.

Despite the shenanigans and the Left’s very best efforts, their baseless, hate-filled smear campaign was no match for the truth.  In the end, the Democrats’ relentless, shameful attacks only served to tarnish themselves and exposed the lengths they would go to in order to ruin a man’s good character and use an innocent victim as a political pawn.  Let this be a lesson to Democrats.  You can try, but your lies and trickery will not succeed.  The American people deserve better than this circus.

Club for Growth congratulates Brett Kavanaugh on his confirmation to the Supreme Court and is confident he will continue to be a staunch advocate for the rule of law, which is foundational for economic freedom, and for limited government and the Constitution.  With the addition of Kavanaugh to the Court, President Trump’s legacy of economic conservatism will be long-lasting.”
