Club for Growth & Coalition of Conservative Groups Tell Congress Not to Break Spending Caps

The Club for Growth, along with FreedomWorks and 11 other major conservative organizations, co-signed a letter to Senate Majority Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Minority Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) urging them not to exceed spending limits set in the 2011 Budget Control Act (BCA) in a potential deal to increase discretionary spending.

Club for Growth President David McIntosh said, “We are calling on conservatives in Congress to take a stand against out of control spending in a potential upcoming spending deal. We are in the middle of a trillion-dollar deficit. The last thing we need is another irresponsible deal to increase discretionary spending by hundreds of billions of dollars. We encourage Members of Congress to publicly pledge their opposition to another agreement to increase discretionary spending.”
