Washington, D.C. — Club for Growth congratulates Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) on his retirement from the United States Senate. Sen. Toomey, who served as the President of Club for Growth from 2005 – 2009, is a principled free-market conservative who became a key leader on directing economic policy in the U.S. Senate. Sen. Toomey finished his career with a 92% lifetime rating from the Club for Growth Foundation’s annual legislative scorecard.

“Pat Toomey is a true champion for pro-growth economic policies and consistently stood by his principles while serving in the U.S Senate,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “Pat was the leading conservative voice on issues such as pro-growth tax cuts, free trade, and financial services. While we are all excited to see what’s next for Sen. Toomey, his presence and sound judgment will be deeply missed in Washington.”
