Club for Growth PAC Condemns Leah Vukmir’s Negative Campaigning

  |

Club for Growth PAC today condemned Leah Vukmir for starting a negative campaign built on name-calling, smears, and false attacks against conservative outsider Kevin Nicholson.  The national Club for Growth has nearly 12,000 members in Wisconsin and is one of the leading pro-growth organizations.

“Leah Vukmir is taking this campaign into the gutter and hurting Republicans’ ability to defeat Tammy Baldwin in November,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh.

“She has been pushing false mail pieces that lie about Kevin Nicholson in an attempt to divide conservatives and has turned to negative campaigning. Conservatives will not sit idly by while Vukmir tries to run conservative outsider Kevin Nicholson’s name through the mud.”

Before the state convention Vukmir sent out a negative mail piece attacking Nicholson and trying to claim he was not a conservative outsider. It was the first paid negative attack by either candidate.  Below is a copy of negative mailer Vukmir’s campaign sent out.
