Club for Growth PAC Congratulates Chip Roy (TX-21)

The Club for Growth PAC congratulated Congressman-elect Chip Roy on his victory today in Texas’ 21^st Congressional District.

Club for Growth PAC first endorsed Chip Roy’s candidacy for Congress on December 14, 2017.  Club members contributed $250,000 directly to Roy’s campaign through the Club for Growth PAC.  The Club’s Super PAC, Club for Growth Action, was the largest outside group conducting independent expenditures in support of Chip Roy in his primary, his runoff, and his general election.  In all, Club for Growth Action spent over $1.2 million in support of Roy’s candidacy.

“Chip Roy is a great conservative, and the people of Texas’ 21^st Congressional District are fortunate they will have him representing them in Congress,” stated Club for Growth President David McIntosh.  “Not only will Congressman-elect Roy be a champion for economic liberty, he will also fight for health care freedom and to scale back the federal government’s overreach into our lives.  We have no doubt that Chip Roy will not only be a strong voice for fiscal conservativism, he will also be a leader among his peers.”

Club for Growth entities had a record-breaking election cycle with total contributions coming in at nearly $50 million for political and issue advocacy campaigns.
