Club for Growth PAC Endorses Bunni Pounds and Ron Wright for Congress

Washington, DC – Today, the Club for Growth PAC announced its endorsement of Bunni Pounds for the fifth Congressional district in Texas and Tarrant County tax assessor Ron Wright for Texas’s sixth Congressional district.  These seats are held by Representatives Jeb Hensarling and Joe Barton respectively, both of which are retiring at the end of this term.

Club for Growth President David McIntosh offered the following statement about Bunni Pounds:

“Bunni Pounds is a committed conservative, who will do much to restore fiscal sanity in Washington.  We have no doubt she will be a reliable and outspoken supporter of economic freedom if elected to Congress.  This runoff is now between a true conservative and a full-blown liberal Republican.  Club for Growth PAC stands fully behind Bunni Pounds and will be working tirelessly to ensure the fifth district of Texas sends a stalwart conservative to replace Jeb Hensarling in Congress.”

Club for Growth President David McIntosh offered the following statement about Ron Wright:

“Ron Wright has a strong record as a conservative and has fought tirelessly to reduce taxes.  While serving as an Arlington City Councilman, he succeeded in enacting a two-thirds vote requirement before condemning property via eminent domain or increasing taxes.  Time and time again, Wright has demonstrated he is an economic conservative, and Club PAC looks forward to helping Wright get elected to serve the great people of Texas in Congress.”
