Club for Growth President David McIntosh Statement on Permitting Reform Legislation

  |

Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth President David McIntosh issued the following statement on the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026, a permitting reform bill stripping overbearing regulations from United States energy production:

“For decades, the Club for Growth has championed deregulation and permitting reform. We commend President Trump and Senate leaders for moving this agreement forward with legislative text. These reforms are critical to expanding American energy production and lowering energy costs for families and businesses. Excessive regulation has constrained production and contributed to higher costs for American consumers. We urge the Senate and House to act swiftly and pass these important permitting reforms.” – David McIntosh, President, Club for Growth.
