Club for Growth President McIntosh Statement on Mississippi’s Education Freedom Act Passing Ed Committee
Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth President David McIntosh issued the following statement after Mississippi HB 2, the Mississippi Education Freedom Act, passed the House Education Committee Wednesday morning:
“Mississippi has become a national leader in education, and soon every student across the state will be better positioned to succeed,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh. “Since 2025, Club for Growth has been instrumental in expanding or protecting school freedom in 10 states with the strong support of President Trump, and we are determined to make Mississippi the next. As we’ve seen in Texas and Tennessee where Club for Growth Action and affiliated PACs successfully primaried 14 Republicans, opposing school freedom likely means the end of your political career. You cannot call yourself a Republican if you oppose school freedom.”
Club for Growth recently released a new ad in Mississippi urging constituents to contact their representatives and voice their support for the Mississippi Education Freedom Act. The ad launched on Sunday on political shows across the state and is running on Fox News throughout the week. In 2025, Club for Growth invested seven-figures nationally, and successfully passed, protected, or expanded school freedom in 10 states: Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming.
