WASHINGTON, D.C. – The following statement was issued by Club for Growth President David McIntosh following the first day of the impeachment hearing in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“While Democrats have made clear they hate having Donald Trump in the White House, they have yet to produce any evidence or make a coherent and convincing argument about what he did wrong and why he should be impeached. Furthermore, the Democrats’ star witness was forced to admit he’s never met President Trump or spoken to White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney despite testifying extensively about their past statements.
