Lauren Boebert (CO-03)
This seat is currently occupied by Republican U.S. Representative Scott Tipton (CFGF lifetime rating: 74%). Tipton was defeated by Boebert in the June 30, 2020, Republican primary 55% to 45%. In 2016, President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in this district 52% to 40%. The PVI is R+6. Boebert will face liberal Democrat Diane Mitsch Bush in the General Election this November. Thanks to a late redistricting ordered by a Democrat-controlled state Supreme Court, Congressman Perry’s conservative Congressional District became very competitive in 2018, resulting in his toughest ever Congressional reelection fight, which he won by barely over two points. The Democrats’ House campaign arm, the DCCC, has targeted Perry again for defeat in 2020, making it necessary for conservatives to defend this seat from an attempted takeover.
