Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it, Club for Growth President David McIntosh joined Fox Business’s David Asman to discuss the midterms and how radical Democratic Socialists like Graham Platner and Abdul El-Sayed are sinking Democrats’ chances. McIntosh outlines that voters are concerned about these candidates’ personalities before even diving into their policy positions and will not be fooled into supporting Marxists.

INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT:

DAVID ASMAN: Club for Growth President David McIntosh joins me now. David, it’s almost comical, I mean to see all of the turning and twisting that the former supporters of Platner are doing now to stay away from him.

DAVID MCINTOSH: Yes, David, you know, Graham Platner, Abdul El-Sayed, they are radical Democrat Socialists. They’re the poor man’s Mamdani. And the Democrats are desperate. We haven’t even gotten to the policy that they articulate. They both want to defund the police, open up the prisons. This gives Republicans a great chance to win the midterms, keep the majority, and actually I think even pick up seats. When the voters know how radical these Democrats are.

ASMAN: Well everybody knew how radical they were. I mean that’s the incredible point. The Democrats are kind of new at this. The mainstream Democratic Party at supporting so openly Marxists who want to turn around 250 years of success of our economy and political system. So you have to forgive them. Give them time maybe they’ll adjust. The point is, right now, they are going nuts aren’t they?

MCINTOSH: They are. They’re going to rerun the playbook from 2024 where they kicked Joe Biden off of the ticket and replaced him with Kamala. And we’re going to see the same results: the voters won’t be fooled. And they see how radical these Democrat Socialists are. As you pointed out, Marxists at heart and they’re adopting their policy. Every single Democrat voted against the Big Beautiful Bill. They want to impose $4.5 trillion of tax increases on Americans. Defund the police, open the prisons, support the radical agenda with trans and open the borders. And when the voters see that those policies are back on the ballot, they’re going to vote for the Republicans.
