EXCERPTS:

“One of the great things about America is the way in which people rise and fall.  We don’t have static elite rich classes the way European aristocrats used to be. We, you look, and that’s to me, one of the most important indicators of whether our  society’s working well or not. People at the top bracket in a couple generations,  they’ll be at the lower bracket and vice versa. People at the bottom of the ladder can climb to the top in America. And it’s still the case that you can do that.”  – David McIntosh

“The number one issue people are concerned about is inflation and the cost of living and how it’s hurting their ability, their real income. And so that’s gonna be on the ballot. And the politicians, both sides are continuing with their current strategies. Republicans saying, No, we’re not gonna go all the way that, that the Democrats want to do, but we like some spending, so we’ll go with the ones we, we like and Republican and Democrats saying, No, we, we need to just spend more and that’ll solve the problems that we have. And the voters are going to decide which path we want to go on. And then afterwards the politicians wake up and say: ‘Oh, okay, the public mandates this. I gotta be careful and don’t get crosswise with that public mandate.’” – David McIntosh

“The core value (of school choice) is that the parent should be involved in the spending of the money of where their kids go to school. So they can look at the school and say: Yeah, this is the right fit for my child, or no, this is a dangerous school. I wanna send ’em to another safer school.’ Now, a lot of times we used to think of it, okay, it’s taking kids out of the public schools. I think of it as also putting parents in control of the public school money.” – David McIntosh

“And my message to Bitcoiners and folks who are invested in it is, it’s great that you’ve thrived outside of politics, but your enemies are going to engage in politics. I saw the other day that the guys who made money on Ripple have invested heavily in a couple of environmental radical organizations to attack Bitcoin mining. That’s why I call it crony capitalism. We’ve seen it over and over again in industries. They use the political process to tear apart their adversaries and to try to get a business advantage. So it’s coming. What we really need to do is not only educate members in all, both parties, but identify champions, people who really understand it, see the value of it, and will defend it against regulators, against the other politicians, We’ve found a few of those on the Republican side. Ted Budd, who is running in North Carolina, has a long history as a House member of, in the financial services industry, pushing against the banks and the financial services that don’t like Bitcoin because it disrupts their business. Blake Masters, who has embraced it totally on coming out of Silicon Valley and his work background running in Arizona.. The fellow I mentioned, Bo Hines in North Carolina, has studied cryptocurrency law in law school. He understands that he knows what gas fees are for. I mean you ask any other member of Congress what’ that and they scratch their heads.” – David McIntosh
