Club for Growth Foundation’s Priced Out Handbook Offers Free-Market Solutions to Address Rising Costs
Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it, Club for Growth Foundation President David McIntosh joined Fox Business’ Varney & Co. to discuss the Foundation’s new Priced Out Affordability Handbook. In the interview, McIntosh discussed key proposals from the handbook to lower housing costs through zoning reform, reduce healthcare costs through price transparency, and streamline energy permitting to boost domestic fuel production.
The interview follows Liz Elkind’s exclusive report on the handbook’s release for Fox News. Republican Congressional offices received a memo detailing the handbook’s key findings, and Club for Growth Foundation Fellows received copies of the handbook at the Foundation’s annual Fall Fellowship Seminar this past weekend in Philadelphia.

STUART VARNEY: Club for Growth (Foundation) has sent the Republicans a new playbook for the Midterms. It’s going to show them how to win the Midterm elections. David McIntosh is the President, and he joins me now. David, spell it out in plain English. What’s in the playbook?
DAVID MCINTOSH: Yeah, I’ve got a copy with me right here, Stu. It shows Republicans how we have a plan to make life more affordable by getting government out of the way. More transmission for electricity and pipelines for natural gas to lower prices. Price transparency in healthcare so that competition comes in and your doctor bill goes down. Housing, get rid of a lot of the permits that end up costing us because people can’t get new houses. Those are the plans that let Americans keep more of their money. The Democrats’ plan is to tax them. Tax their tips again, tax their overtime, tax Social Security. And when voters see that contrast, who’s going to make life more affordable, Republicans win.
